After a half century＇ s hard work and hot debates, researchers discovered themes of sexism, freedom, multiple personality, racialism, and religious and political belief in Doris Lessing＇ s The Golden Notebook besides these, this paper holds that antiwar is also one of its major themes and tries to testify from three aspects of historical background, metaphorical form and concrete depiction.
