The article introduced the idea and the experience medication of Prof. Ling Jiakun in treating chronic renal failure （CRF） based on the theory of Mingmen. Prof. Ling proposed that the deficiency of Mingmen is important in CRF pathogenesis, warming and supplementing Mingmen is important in treatment of CRF, the theory of Mingmen is further than the theory of the kidney Yin and yang in clarifying Clef pathogenesis. Prof Ling opened up a new thinking for the clinical treatment of CRF.
