On Methods and Strategies of College English Vocabulary Teaching and Learning

鉴于词汇习得在大学英语教学中的重要地位,本文就目前高校英语词汇教学现状,结合个人教学实践经验,具体阐述词汇教学方法和策略,目的在于引起高校教师对课堂词汇教学的重视并努力改进教学方法,以增加学生的英语学习兴趣和增强词汇记忆效果。

Due to the important status of vocabulary acquisition in college English language teaching, the authors propose some useful vocabulary teaching and learning methods and strategies in detail according to their own teaching practice and experience in order that college teachers will pay attention to vocabulary teach-ing in class and try to improve teaching methods so as to arouse the students＆#39; interest in learning English language and ensure in-creased retention of vocabulary.
