摘要
本文通过“三尺巷”的典故引出中国传统建筑中的元素之一--“墙”，并通过《尔雅》、《说文解字》、《玉篇》及《康熙字典》等古典文献，对“墙”的起源、发展、字体结构和意义等做了追根溯源式的剖析，弄清建筑领域中相对不受关注的“墙”的丰富内涵及其在中国传统建筑领域中的重要作用。最终，本文引用《中华大字典》、《辞海》等书籍中的关于“墙”的解释，完整归纳出了“墙”的涵义。
One of Chinese traditional building elements -- ＂wall＂ was led out through the ＂three-foot lane＂ story in this paper, and then the origin, development, character structure and the significance of the rich connotation of the ＂wall＂ was analyzed in the construction field through ＂Er Ya＂, ＂Shuo Wen Jie Zi＂, ＂Yu Pian＂, ＂Kangxi Dictionary＂ and other classical literatures, which is not concerned enough in Chinese traditional architecture. In conclusion, this paper cited the ＂Chinese Dictionary＂ and ＂Dictionary＂ on the ＂wall＂ explanation to complete the meanings of the ＂wall＂.
