Analysis on the Modernization of the United Kingdom Based on Reading Engels' s "Current Situation of the United Kingdom"

对于现代化,不同的学者专家因为专业背景的不同,自然会有不同的见解。笔者认为"现代化"从广义来说,是工业革命带来的一场关乎经济、政治、个人、社会等各个方面巨大变化的过程。本文在概述了英国现代化发展的四个阶段后,按照恩格斯在《英国现状》中所阐述的英国现代化的四个方面,分别做了详细的阐述。

For modernization, different scholars and experts will naturally have different opinions because of their different pro-fessional backgrounds. We believe that,＂modernization＂, broadly speaking, is a huge change in relation to all aspects of social, e-conomic, political, personal, and social processes brought by the industrial revolution. After an overview of the four stages in the modernization of the United Kingdom, this paper expounds in detail respectively, according to the four aspects of the modern-ization of the United Kingdom outlined in ＂Current Situation of the United Kingdom＂by Engels.
