This article introduces vertical transition technology applying at fully mechanized coal face of mining height above 4 m, the auxiliary support equipments and application scopes of vertical transition technology, and the economic benefits brought by vertical tran- sition technology. Using vertical transition to instead of smooth transition at two ends of fully mechanized coal face, it greatly improves the recovery rate of coal resources, creates a good benefit for enterprises, promotes the sustainable development of enterprises.
