摘要
表现说是朱光潜《诗论》的核心,是他建构新诗格律理论的基础。表现就是赋形,寻言即寻思。情感最直接的表现是节奏,纯形式的节奏和语言的节奏契合才是诗的独特节奏。节奏由富有感情的有规律的音节、有规律的章句和有规律的收声组成。在表现中,情趣思想和格律节奏在同一瞬间孕育而成。所以只要人类的情感不枯竭,格律就永远具有生命力。表现说从理论上把格律划进诗歌创作过程之中,为新诗格律的形成和发展找到了学理上的依据。
“ Expression” constitutes the cornerstone of Zhu Guangqian's Poetics and the basis of his theory on the prosody of new poetry. “ Expression” determines the form of new poetry and language and thought are indivisible. Feelings are ex- pressed most directly in rhythm and the blending of pure formal rhythm with verbal rhythm makes for a poem's unique rhythm. Rhythm is composed of regularly arranged emotion-laden metrical feet, lines and the ending. In “ expression” , thought and prosody are conceived simultaneously, therefore, as long as human sensibilities are not exhausted, prosody will never lose its eternal vitality. The theory of “expression” grants a place to prosody in the process of poetic production, thereby providing an academic foundation for the emergence and development of the prosody of new poetry.
