Tile Shanghai Cheongsam Culture Promotion Association was established, and the inaugural meeting held, in Jinguo Garden, in Shanghai, on October 19. Xu Feng, President of Shanghai Women＇s Federation, spoke during the meeting. The association＇s first executive was elected during the meeting. Zhang Lili, a member of the Ethnic and Religious Committee of the Shanghai People＇s Congress, was elected the association＇s first director-general. After the election, she delivered a speech, entitled Shanghai Cheongsam Culture Promotion Association Preparations Report. Members also adopted the association＇s bylaws during the meeting.
