从图里的翻译规范理论看翟象俊《白象似的群山》

A Study of Zhai Xiangjun's Chinese Version of Hills Like White Elephants from the Perspective of Toury's Translation Norms Theory

图里是描述性翻译研究的领军人物,他将翻译行为规范分为三类,即初步规范、首要规范和操作规范。以图里的翻译规范理论为基础,分析并评价翟象俊的中译本《白象似的群山》,认为翟象俊的译文主要遵循直译为主、意译为辅,忠实、通顺的翻译标准。

Toury·Gideon is the leading scholar in the field of descriptive translation studies,and his theory of translation norms offers a new approach for translation studies. Toury divides norms into three aspects,namely,preliminary norms,initial norms and operational norms. Hills Like White Elephants is one of the most famous short stories of Ernest Hemingway,which was collected in the tales of Men Without Women. Based on the theory of translation norms,this paper will try to analyze and evaluate Zhai Xiangjun’s Chinese version of Hills Like White Elephants.
