摘要
随着中外科学技术的广泛交流与合作,术语的跨语际传播日趋活跃,术语翻译的积极实践,一方面促进了我国科学技术的学术繁荣,但另一方面也产生了一些具体的问题。人们在探究这些问题时,往往只关注翻译的语义等值问题,而忽略了术语翻译的文化特征。词语除其"概念意义"之外,还有"语用意义",而后者体现了术语的文化属性,因此从社会符号学视角来探讨科技术语翻译的文化意义具有一定的可行性。
With a wide range of foreign scientific and technological exchanges and cooperation, the interpersonal communication of terminology across language has become increasingly active. The active practice of terminology translation, on the one hand has promoted the academic prosperity of China's science and technology; on the other hand, it also has produced a number of specific issues. When exploring these issues, people often concentrate on semantic equivalence of translations, while ignoring the cultural identity of terminology translation. When it comes to words, apart from its 'conceptual meaning', there is 'pragmatic meaning', which embodies the cultural property of terminology. This article aims to explore the cultural significance of science and technology terminology from the perspective of social semiotics.
