Recovery of Traditional Scene and Renovation of Historical Block of Yangshuo

阳朔因其独特秀美的自然山水风光有着"阳朔山水甲桂林"的美誉,是国际旅游名镇。西街位于阳朔历史街区中心,是阳朔最古老、最繁华的街道。一段时间以来,西街及其周边地段的历史风貌遭到损坏。为复兴街区活力、振兴地方经济,阳朔实施了历史街区传统风貌恢复与整治工作,经一年多时间,一条展示地方文化、以民居风格为主、富含地方特色、体现阳朔风貌的历史街区又重新出现了。

As an international famous tourism town, Yangshuo has a reputation of “Yangshuo landscape tops that of Guilin”due to its unique and fascinating landscape. Located in the center of Yangshuo’s historical block, West Street is the oldest and most prosperous street of Yangshuo. For some time, the historical scene of West Street and its surroundings was destroyed. In order to revive the block’s energy and develop local economy, Yangshuo recovered traditional scene of historical block and renovated the block as well. After more than one year, a historical block which shows local culture, takes dwellings as its main architectural style, is rich in local characteristics and reflects Yangshuo’s style is reappeared again.
