The paper analyzes the status on the built roads along Zhaotong-Huize Expressway in Yunnan, explores the adoption of the upgrading and expansion scheme for built semi-range expressway and the newly-built semi-range expressway, and illustrates the roadbed design methods from the selection for roadbed sections and combination of old and new roadbeds, so as to promote the stability and loading capability of the new and old roadbeds.
