摘要
全球英语教育领域一直为英本主义话语所控制。英本主义话语根植于西方文化沙文主义,并在英语教育领域构建了很多基于语言和文化差别的歧视性二元对立体。英本主义为英语教育界普遍接受,主要原因在于业内人士对母语非英语本族语者教师的职业能力和教学方法使用的语境化认知不足。因此,在英语教育和教学活动中应引入批判性教育理念,以期培养学习者抵制英本主义的意识。
The arena of the English education has been dominated by the discourse of Native-speakerism in the whole world. Native-speakerism is rooted in the western cultural Chauvinism and has formulated many discriminatory dichotomies based on the difference in language and culture. Nevertheless, it is still widely accepted in the circle of the English education. This is mainly because those working in this field have inadequate cognition of the globalization of the English language ,the structure of the professional competence of non-native-English- speaker teachers (NNESTs) and the contextualization of any teaching methodology. It is proposed accordingly that the concept of Critical Pedagogy should be incorporated into the English education in order to foster learners' consciousness to resist Native-speakerism.
