The Army Commander of the Sichuan Army Eighty-eight： Fan Shaozeng

范绍增（绰号：范哈儿）是川军中的一位著名人物。早年参加了多次四川军阀的混战，给四川人民带来了苦难。在伟大的抗日战争中，范绍增自筹资金，购买、修理枪械，带领川军第八十八军奔赴抗日前线，为中华民族抗击外来侵略，赢得最后胜利，作出了自己的贡献。他多次在自己力所能及的范围内掩护共产党员。他的起义为四川和重庆的解放作出了贡献。

Fan Shaozeng is a well-known figure in the Sichuan Army and his nickname is ＂Fan Hair＂ （ ＂Fan Fool Bro＂ or ＂ Fan Fool＂ ）. He spent his early years in joining Sichuan warlords＇ dogfights which had brought disasters to the Sichuan people. During the great Anti-Japanese War, Fan had raised funds by himself to buy and repair firearms, and led the Sichuan Army Eighty-eight to rush to the Anti-Japanese War front defending against external aggression and winning the final victory with his own efforts. He had protected members of the Communist Party as possible as he could. His uprising had contributed to the liberation of Sichuan and Chongqing.
