The Factors Influencing the ASEAN New Members' Sense of ASEAN's Identity

东盟成员国对东盟的认同是评估东盟社会文化共同体建设程度的关键性的核心指标之一。鉴于东盟新成员国的历史特殊性,本文从东盟新成员国的角度考察了影响其对东盟认同的主要经济和政治因素。东盟新成员国与其他盟友的经济发展差距、东盟对其支持和庇护的程度、东盟或东盟成员国之间如何处理内部冲突等因素,都可能以不同的方式影响到东盟新成员国对东盟的认同,从而影响到东盟共同体的建设。

Identifying with ASEAN by ASEAN members is one of the key indexes to be used to evaluate the building extent of the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community.Owing to the special history of ASEAN new members,the paper examines the major economic and political factors influencing their identifying with ASEAN,just from the ASEAN new members’ point.Some factors would probably influence identifying with ASEAN by ASEAN new members,such as the developing gaps between the ASEAN new members and other ones,the extent of ASEAN supporting and patronizing them,how to deal with the internal conflicts by ASEAN and its members,which would further influence the building of the ASEAN Communi-ty.
