中国近代教育家、物理学家——孙国封

Modern Chinese Educator and Physicist-Sun Guofeng

孙国封(1890—1936)先生是中国近代教育家、物理学家,是中国第一届在国内培养的物理学毕业生。他参与筹建了东北地区第一所高水平大学——东北大学,并担任理工院院长,复任教育部督学、北平大学工学院院长,而这两所工学院于1938年与西北联大工学院合组为西北工学院,从而奠定了我国东北、西北工程技术教育的基础。通过研究中国本土培养的第一代物理学家,在一定程度上,可以折射出中国物理学发生与发展的历史轨迹,进而引发人们对中国物理学史的思考。

Mr. Sun Guofeng （1890-1936）, an eminent contemporary educator and physicist, who was among the pioneer batch of graduates majoring in physics in China. He took participated in founding the first university in northeastern areas in China-Northeastern University, then became the dean of School of Technology, and was also reinstated as educational inspector for the Ministry of Education and the dean of College of Engineering at Beiping University. These two colleges of engineering were a part of Northwest Union University, which laid the foundation of engineering education in Northeastern and Northwest areas in China. He devoted into the education career and influenced the development of higher education of Northeastern University and even the Republican Period. The study of the first generation of physicist educated in China can, to a certain degree, give a reflection of the history path of the occurrence and development of physics and thus lead people to think of the history of physics in China.
