The FY-2E satellite visible albedo and infrared brightness temperature were adopted to LAPS (Local Analysis and Prediction System)in order to improve initial field quality in the typhoon“Haibeisi” simulation experiments. The results showed: 1)The total cloud cover magnitude presented significant adjustment and helped to clearly distinguish the field of typhoon eye, wall cloud and spiral band due to the application of satellite visible albedo to the cloud analysis of LAPS. Satellite infrared brightness temperature played an important role on the improvement of cloud-top height, and the high-resolution results were propitious to analyze typhoon structure and severe convection field. 2) The application of physical initialization technique of LAPS to add the cloud structure and microphysical information of satellite data into initial field could partly improve the distribution of vertical velocity, cloud water, cloud ice and water vapor, which enhanced the quality of model initial value, and effected the modeling and forecasting results of typhoon system.
