Through introducing the form and establishment principle of deposit model, the article derives parts and steps of establishing block model, and makes cross and integrated use in ore quantity calculation, stripping quantity calculation, dumping capacity calculation, mining face prediction and long-term plan, which has an important guiding significance to the improvement of open-pit mining design method.
