Comparative Study of New Carrot Variety Introduction

[目的]发展湖南省胡萝卜产业，筛选培育出适合生产上栽培旳优质、高产、抗逆性强的胡萝卜品种。[方法]通过台湾职教协会，从日本、韩国收集引进包括Rb-1、Rb-2、Rb-3、Rb-4、Hg-5、Hg-6、Hg-7共7个胡萝卜新品种，以助农大根推广品种为对照（CK），采用完全随机区组排列的田间比较试验。[结果]结果表明，Hg-7品种性状田间表现突出，株型直立，产量高、品质好、商品产量比对照品种增产率高，栽培方便。[结论]研究结果为湖南省胡萝卜新品种大田示范推广提供了依据。

Objective] The aim was to select varieties of carrots with high quality, high yield, strong resistance, which suitable for cultivation in Hunan Province, for developing carrot industry in this Province. [Method] Through Taiwan vocational education association, collected carrot varieties including Rb-1, Rb-2, Rb-3, Rb-4, Hg-5, Hg-6, and Hg-7 which were imported from Japan, South Korea. The field comparison test was conducted, by taking Zhunongdagen variety as control variety （CK）, and using the completely randomized block arrangement. [Result] The results showed that characters of variety Hg-7 performed very well in the field. It performed upright, high yield, good quality, and had high commodity production, and easy cultivation. [Conclusion]The results provided the basis for demonstration of carrot varieties in Hunan Province.
