贵州是一个穷省,交通闭塞、经济文化落后,长期处于封闭状态。然而,十多年来,贵州的艺术家们在文学、音乐、戏剧、美术工艺等领域异军突起,创作的大量作品在省内外乃至国内外引起了强烈的反响和轰动。这种反响和轰动,尤以美术界为甚。

Guizhou, a poor province with inconvenient transportation and economic and cultural backwardness, has been isolated from outside for a long time. The artists in Guizhou, rising up in many fields such as literature, mu- sic, opera, art and techniques, have created a great number of works which have great impacts and caused sensation in China and even in the foreign countries, with arts field being the most influential.
