浅析马克·吐温儿童文学作品在中国的翻译——以张友松《汤姆·索亚历险记》汉译本第一章为例

On the Translation of Mark Twain's Children's Literature in China——A Case Study on the Chapter One of Zhang Yousong's Translation of The Adventures of Tom Sawyer

儿童文学翻译研究几乎处于文学研究边缘地位,为了解马克·吐温儿童文学著作在中国的翻译,文章以张友松的《汤姆·索亚历险记》汉译本为考察对象,研究其译本的语言特点。通过分析发现:张友松翻译的语言受两大因素影响:一是他自身的翻译思想,二是儿童文学翻译特点。张友松用富有儿童特色的语言绘声绘色地将儿童心理、儿童生活描写出来,更活灵活现地刻画了各色人物的性格特征,从而激起儿童的兴趣和共鸣。

It is widely acknowledged that the scholars pay little attention to the study of children’s liter-ature translation for such a long time. In order to learn more about the translation of Mark Twain’s Children’ s Literature in China, the paper explores The Adventures of Tom Sawyer translated by Zhang Yousong. This paper aims to investigate Zhang’s translation strategies. With a comprehensive study, this paper finds out that Zhang’s translation is mainly affected by two factors： the first reason is Zhang’s own translation theory, and the other one is the specific characteristics of children’s literature translation. On the whole, Zhang de-scribes children’s psychological activities and life in a specific language with children’s characteristics. Moreover, he depicts different traits of character vividly, thus it arouses children＆#39;s interest and empathy.
