A description of the design principle of free -solid fluid for well completion is presented in this article, which helps to minimize the formation damage in well completion and workover. The paper also covers the design of salt fluid for completion and packer fluid and the formulation of recipe of free -solid fluid for well completion in Sino-Japanese co-operated area in Bohai oil development.
