作为普通高等教育"十一五"国家级规划教材的《汉英翻译基础教程》,具有整体布局合理、内容丰富、突出以学习者为中心等特点,但也存在译文不够通顺、词语不够准确、例句与练习重复等问题。针对教材的这些不足之处,提出了一些改进和完善的方法。

As an ＂Eleven Five＂ national planning textbook of general higher education, An Elementary Course book on Chinese English Translation is characterized by the proper layout, the richer content, and the learner--oriented concept. Nevertheless, there still exist some problems such as non-smooth rendering, inaccurate diction and the repetition of the examples and the exercises. Aiming at the disadvantages of the teaching materials, the paper puts forward some methods of improvement and perfection.
