国家翻译机构对翻译活动的规范——以中央编译局马列著作及“毛著”翻译为例

A Research on Translation Activities of National Translating Institutions in Terms of Translation Norms——A Case Study on CCTB's Translation of Works of Marx,Lenin and Mao Zedong

中央编译局作为系统翻译和编著马列著作、中国领导人著作及我国重要政治文件的国家机构,为马列主义在中国的传播和我国对外交流做出了重要贡献。本文以切斯特曼的翻译规范理论为基础,以描述性方法系统研究中央编译局对马列著作及"毛著"翻译活动的组织与管理。研究发现,国家机构的翻译活动受读者需求、目标语文化政治环境、社会背景及文本类型等因素的规约和影响。

As a major national translating institution engaged in systematically translating works of Marx, Lenin and Chinese leaders as well as important political documents, the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau （CCTB） has been playing a critical role in the spread of Marxism-Leninism in China and international exchange. Based on Chesterman＇s theory of translation norms, this paper probes into CCTB＇s translating of works of Marx, Lenin and Mao Zedong in a descriptive way, revealing impacts imposed upon national intuitions＇ translating activities by readers＇ expectations, political environment and social background of the target culture, text type and other factors.
