with 13 years working experience in the hotel industry, Pan Deng, general manager of Grand Mercure Hotel in the Sunshine 100 residential community, is in his prime and brimming with vigor. He says that he got into the hotel industry by pure chance. Majoring in finance, Pan Dneg found a job related to his studies in a foreign-owned travel agency which mainly undertook group tours for American Chinese. During that time, he gained a clear idea of what he wanted to do and plunged into the hotel industry. When serving in a local hotel brand in Shanghai, he succeeded in the role transition from the financial staff to division principal and then business leader. Pan Deng joined Accor Hotels in 2011, and is now acting as financial controller in Jinan Grand Mercure Hotel.
