百年莲子 历经沧桑——记‘孙文莲’发生发展的前后

One Hundred Years of Lotus Seed through the Vicissitudes of Life——the History and Development of 'Sunwenlian'

在2006年纪念孙中山先生诞辰140周年的荷花博览会上,我国荷界泰斗王其超教授致辞:"以名人命名荷花,唯独中山。"可见,‘孙文莲’在中国荷文化历史中占有重要的地位。今天,历经百年沧桑后,‘孙文莲’终于回到了先生的故里——翠亨村,正含苞欲放,迎接八方来客。再回顾‘孙文莲’发生发展的前前后后,作为孙中山先生的后辈,我们有义务和责任将‘孙文莲’这朵名花的发展史,在中山市乃至全国进一步发扬光大。

The lotus flower exhibition which commemorated the 140th anniversary of Sun Zhongshan was held in 2006. The leading authority of lotus flower, Prof. Wang Qichao pointed out that ＇Sun Zhongshan is the only one whose name is given to a lotus flower＇ . It shows that ＇Sunwenlian＇ occupies an important status in the history of lotus flower culture in China. Nowadays, ＇Sunwenlian＇ finally come back to Mr. Sun＇ s hometown Cuiheng village through the vicissitudes over a hundred years. It is blooming to welcome guests from all over the world. Looking back to the development history of ＇Sunwenlian＇ , as the younger generation of Mr. Sun, we are obliged to carry forward the development history of ＇Sunwenlian＇ in Zhongshan and China.
