东北地区的民间刺绣,种类繁多,题材广泛,内容丰富。有布软雕、布刺绣、布拼、布搐四大类;表现的题材有动物、人物、花鸟、草虫、瓜果、戏剧、神话故事等。东北地区有众多的少数民族,在发展过程中形成各自的具有民族特点的刺绣艺术,无论是外在形式、艺术风格,还是所蕴含的内在精神和社会行为,体现了多样化的民族文化内涵,在中国刺绣史上占有重要的位置。

The Northeast China Folk Embroidery is various in content with soft cloth, cloth, embroidery carving, cloth spell of four categories of animal figures, flowers and birds, insects, fruits, drama, fairy tales, etc. The formation runs nationwide in art history, both the external form of art style and the inherent spirit reflect diverse national culture occupying an important position in Chinese embroidery.
