对地方农业院校农科英语复合型人才培养的思考——以云南农业大学为例

Reflection on the Training of Agricultural English Compound Talents in Local Agricultural Universities: Taking Yunnan Agricultural University as an Example

复合型英语人才体现了经济社会发展对传统语言人才知识结构的新要求。农科英语复合型人才的培养是地方农业院校扬长避短、彰显特色的必需。地方农业院校培养农科英语复合型人才有其自身优势,也存在师资、教材、课程等方面的现实问题。通过多渠道培养引进师资,合力开发建设农科英语ESP教材,科学建构ESP课程体系等措施,地方农业院校在培养符合市场需要的农科英语复合型人才方面将大有可为。

Compared with traditional knowledge structure of foreign language talents, compound English talent reflects the new requirements of economic and social development. To develop its character- istics and to avoid shorting, it is a necessity for local agricultural institutions to train agricultural English compound talents. Local agricultural universities have their own advantages as well as realistic dif- ficulties in teachers, teaching materials and curriculum in training compound English talents. Through introducing qualified teachers by various means, jointly developing ESP teaching materials and constructing ESP curriculum system, local agricultural institutions will do a great job in training agricultural English compound talents popular in labor market.
