真光书院与广东基督教女学

Zhen Guang Academy and Guangdong Women's Christian Schools

1872年创办的真光书院,有着独特的办学历程。初期阶段(1872-1917年)的真光书院,办学理念、师资状况以及与博济医学校、慈善学校的合作、师范班的尝试,开拓了近代广东乃至中国基督教女学的一种发展样本,亦为近代广东的女学以及女性职业教育开辟了道路。

The Zhen Guang( True Light) Academy founded in 1872 developed with its unique course. The first stage( 1872-1917) Zhen Guang Academy,with its educational philosophy,faculty,its cooperation with Boji Medical School and some charity schools,and its teacher training attempts,developed a paradigm for Christian women education in Guangdong or even in China; it also opened up a way for girls' education and women's vocational education in Guangdong.
