摘要
商务英语文本涵盖各类经贸专业知识,译者的主体认知结构成为关注的焦点。基于知识图式,结合教学实践,从翻译的理解及表达两个过程,探究学生译者遇到的翻译难点,可以发现包括商务背景知识、商务语言知识在内的事实性知识图式在商务翻译中起重要作用,而以上事实性知识图式的缺位是造成理解及表达难点的重要因素。
Business English texts contain a wide range of domain knowledge. The cognitive structure of translators has aroused researchers’ attention. The current paper, which draws upon the theory of schema, attempts to explore challenges facing student translators when they render business English texts into Chi-nese. The translating activities in question are observed based upon the current writers’ pedagogical prac-tice and are examined mainly from two dimensions, i.e. comprehension and delivery. By looking into cases of mistranslation, the authors believe factual knowledge including knowledge of business and business lan-guage plays a crucial role in the business translation and the vacancy of such schema is what contributes to the translation challenges.
