The Factors and Trends of Multinational Companies Embedded in Shanghai

经济全球化背景下,跨国公司的地位日益凸显。为研究上海在引入跨国公司嵌入方面的影响因素及趋势,促进上海进一步吸引跨国公司,更好融入全球产业链,利用理论分析方法,从经济嵌入、技术嵌入、文化嵌入、社会嵌入和体制嵌入五个方面分析跨国公司在沪本地化的特点,结果发现尽管上海的区位优势明显,但是由于人力资源成本限制、跨国公司的挤出效应和周边城市的竞争,在进一步引入跨国公司方面还有需要改进的地方。因此需要从发挥自贸区溢出效应,降低人力资源成本,设立准入门槛和坚持"四个中心"发展四个方面进行改进,成为真正的"宜居、宜商、宜业"的世界城市。

Under the background of economic globalization, the position of multinational companies is increasingly prominent. To study the factors and trends of Shanghai to introduce multinational companies to embed, promoting Shanghai to attract multinational companies and better integrate into the global industrial chain, the paper applied local embedding theory to analyze five multinational local features from such prospective as economy, technology, culture, society and institution. It proves that although Shanghai has many advantages, with the cost of human resources constraints, multinationals crowding in and competition around the city, it should improve itself from many aspects. In the end, shanghai should take advantage of overflow effect from the FTA （Shanghai）, reduce the cost of human resources, establish the access threshold and adhere to the ＂four centers＂ development, becoming the world city of ＂suitable to live,business and venture＂.
