摘要
长沙市旅游景区公示语翻译失误现象目前主要体现在语言翻译失误和语用翻译失误两大方面,而造成这些翻译失误的原因主要有文化因素、专业队伍水平欠缺和标牌制作者粗心大意等。文章结合长沙市旅游景区公示语翻译实例,探讨了接受美学理论对旅游公示语翻译实践的启示。作者认为,接受美学理论对公示语翻译的指导作用在于确定了以读者为中心的原则、礼貌性原则、传递源语言文化为中心的原则和保护性原则。
The public signs translation errors in Changsha's scenic spots mainly reflect in two aspects: the linguistic translation error and pragmatic error, whose causes include cultural factors, standard of professional teams and carelessness of sign makers. This arti- cle analyzes the enlightenment of the reception aesthetic theory on public signs translation according to the translation examples of public signs in Changsha's major scenic spots. According to the author, under the guidance of reception aesthetic theory, public signs translation must be based on four principles: readers--oriented principle, politeness principle, source culture transmission--oriented principle and protection principle.
