The paper introduces the importance for the welding technique in the steel structural construction, surveys the development of the weld- ing technique in China, mainly illustrates the steel structural welding technique by taking ＂the Bird Nest National Stadium＂ as the example, and researches the methods for preventing the welding deformation of the welding craft and the important role of enhancing the comprehensive quality of personnel, so it is meaningful for promoting the steel structure welding technique.
