非英语专业新生英语自主学习观念及能力调查分析

An Investigation into First Year Non-English Majors' English Autonomous Learning Beliefs and Abilities

从英语自主学习的观念和自主学习能力两个方面对非英语专业100名大一新生自主学习现状进行了问卷调查,调查结果显示,大一新生虽意识到英语自主学习的必要性,但对自主学习持有片面甚至错误的观念;大一学生英语自主学习能力不足,主要表现在学习目标和计划的确立、学习策略的运用及对学习过程的监控有待加强.针对调查结果,提出了纠正学生错误的观念并加强教师对学生的引导等建议.

This paper made a questionnaire-based investigation on 100 first-year university students＇ beliefs about and abilities of autonomous English learning.The results show that although first-year students have realized the necessity of performing autonomous learning,their beliefs about autonomous learning are inadequate;they are also short of autonomous learning abilities,such as the ability of establishing learning aims and goals,the using of learning strategies and the monitoring of the learning process.Based on the findings,it is suggested to correct the first-year students＇ false beliefs and to strengthen the role of the teachers in autonomous learning.
