Working hard in the clinical practice, professor ZHOU Zhong-ying had unique attainments in clinical thoughts, who was good at the diagnosis and treatment of difficult miscellaneous diseases. This paper summarized professor ZHOU＇s experience, including ＇paying attention to the specificity of the syndrome＇ ＇emphasizing not to be limited in existing patterns＇ ＇stressing the latent pathogenesis＇ and ＇medication must change according to the changes of sings and symptoms when differentiating syndromes＇. The recorded cases which were diagnosed and treated by him were included in this article to explain the characteristics of the identification and medication.
