摘要
本文具体分析了英语3类虚拟位移——延伸、临现和指示路径——中的概念整合过程和转喻机制。研究发现,3类虚拟位移的概念整合过程可以概括为"真实位移与静态物体方位(即动与静)"的概念整合,它反映了输入空间I1中的"动"与输入空间I2中的"静"的认知整合。而发生在输入空间I1中的不同转喻机制均可以归属于更高一级的转喻,即"以行动指代结果(以动代静)"。虚拟位移中的转喻机制为输入空间I1中的"动"与输入空间I2中的"静"搭建了桥梁,因此,可以说虚拟位移中的转喻是概念整合的前提,为概念整合提供了认知基础。
This paper analyzes the conceptual blending process and the metonymy mechanism of English coextension paths,advent paths and access paths fictive motions. It is found that the conceptual blending process of fictive motions can be generalized as the conceptual blending of 'factual motion and the location of static objects',which reflects the combination of 'motion ' in the Input I1 space and 'stability ' in the Input I2 space. The various metonymy mechanisms of fictive motions in Input I1 belong to the higher-level metonymy 'ACTION FOR RESULT( motion for stability) '. The metonymy mechanism in fictive motions builds a bridge between 'motion ' of Input I1and'stability'of Input I2. Therefore,the metonymy of fictive motions is the precondition of conceptual blending and it provides the cognitive basis for conceptual blending.
