This paper mainly focuses on reductions of network capacity and configuration of GSM900 network in the region of WCDMA 900MHz. The background of GSM900 network capacity reduction is firstly introduced, and then the scheme and the flow of GSM900 network capacity reduction are analyzed. Finally, the principle of network capacity and configuration reductions for China UniCom is presented.
