Red pigment of Schisandra chinensis is one kind of natural pigments,and it has certain functional activity.In recent years,the research on red pigments has made certain progress.The progress of extraction,purification,identification,stability and antioxidant activity of red pigments in Schisandra chinensis are reviewed.
