Features of the directional and high-angle wells are studied in this paper, and a new method to improve cementing is established, in which the key points are 'the cleaning wellbore with liigh velocity , displacing mud with low velocity, using a large quantity of preflush, and optimizing the cement slurry system. 'Great improvement has been made for cementing the directional and high-angle wells in Nanhai western sea waters.
