《司馬芳殘碑》碑主司馬芳新考

New Examination into of TheTomb of Sima Fang

西安碑林博物館藏《司馬芳殘碑》涉及西晉皇室先祖,具有重要的歷史價值。通行看法是司馬芳即文獻所記司馬懿之父司馬防。本文以《殘碑》碑陰題名中杜幾(畿)的職銜爲線索,考證杜畿早年履歷,推定司馬芳擔任京兆尹的時間在漢靈帝光和年間,而這與文獻記載的司馬防的生平履歷相矛盾。故本文贊成施蟄存先生卓見:《殘碑》碑主司馬芳與司馬防並非同一人。

The Tomb of Sima Fang(《司馬芳殘碑》)kept in Xi'an Monuments' Museum is of great historical value due to its connection with the royal family of Western JinDynasty. The prevalent opinion among scholars in this field is that Sima Fang(司馬芳)was the father of Sima Yi,who was recorded as司馬防insome literature. Based on the trace of the official rank of Duji(杜畿),the name appeared in the inscription on the back of the tomb,the article illustrates that it was during 178 to 184(Guanghe years of Emperor Ling of Han)that Sima Fang(司馬芳)took the position ofJingzhaoyin(京兆尹,the mayor of the capital),which,however,was contradictory to the record of SimaFang(司馬防). Thus it confirms that Sima Fang(司馬芳)and Sima Fang(司馬防)were two different persons indeed.
