MIT专业教育项目个案研究及对我国大学继续工程教育的启示

Research on MIT′s Professional Education Projects and its Enlightmen to Continuing Engineering Education for China′s Universities

在知识更新加速和人才竞争日益激烈的今天,继续工程教育在大学中的地位和作用日益突显其重要性。美国麻省理工学院(MIT)的工程教育引领全球工程和科学教育的发展。MIT通过实施高级研修项目、短期项目、客户项目以及在线项目向全球专业技术人员提供优质的继续工程教育,一方面向专业技术人员提供了终身学习机会,另一方面也推动了大学知识创新和科研成果转化。我国大学可以借鉴MIT的成功经验,建立以专业教育为核心的继续工程教育体系,将知识创新和科研成果融入到继续工程教育中,为专业技术人员知识更新和终身学习提供更好的教育服务,同时通过继续工程教育项目的实施促进大学教师教学、科研和社会服务能力的提升,推动大学可持续发展。

With the development of the knowledge updating and professional competition, the continuing engineering education becomes more and more important in the universities. The engineering education in Massachusetts Institute of Technology （MIT） leads the development of global engineering and science education. MIT provides excellent continuing engineering education to the professional and technical personnel through the Advanced Study Programs, Short Programs, Custom Programs and Online Programs. It not only promotes the transformation of university knowledge innovation and scientific research achievements, but also provides opportunities for lifelong learning to the professional and technical personnel. We can draw on the successful experiences of MIT, establish the continuing engineering education system of professional education as a core, and integrate knowledge innovation and scientific research achievements to the continuing engineering education. We can also provide good education services for professional and technical personnel of knowledge updating and lifelong learning. And promote the teachers＇ abilities of teaching, scientific studying and social service through the implementation of continuing engineering education programs at the same time in order to maintain the sustainable development of universities in China.
