摘要
第一部分呈现了科学研究中关于婴儿天生具有的社会与认知能力的发现,进而论证了儒家学派孟子所提出的人性本善的观点;第二部分探讨如何通过整合孔子对其自身道德发展的记录和怀特海所描绘的经验与道德的一般结构,从而构建一种建设性后现代的道德教育,这是一种从心所欲的道德教育。
The first part of this article argues that evidence from recent scientific research into the innate social and cognitive capacities of infants lends support to claims about the goodness of human nature as developed particularly by Mencius in the Confucian tradition. Its second part examines how these initial foundations of moral life can be protected and cultivated by a process of moral education which is formulated by integrating Confucius account of his own moral development with the general construction of experience and morality described by A. N. Whitehead.
