中瑞两国已有数百年的交往历史,翻译作为两国文化交流传播的媒介一直担负着重要的职责与使命。无论是从事汉译瑞工作的瑞典汉学家,还是从事瑞译汉工作的中国学者,他们都为两国的文化的传播做出了不可磨灭的贡献。但时至今日,两国翻译工作的发展却都陷入了瓶颈。文章介绍了中国和瑞典两国文学互译的历史发展过程,并剖析了目前翻译工作中存在的问题。相信随着"中国文化走出去"的倡导,中瑞两国可以建立更多的文化交流平台,为两国的翻译事业注入新鲜血液,开创新的未来。

China and Sweden have a long history of contact. Translations between Chinese and Swedish have taken a very important responsibility for their culture exchange. Both Swedish sinologists and Chinese translators have contributed much to culture communication. But today there are many problems in the present translation works. The Chinese culture is now more and more popular in the word. China and Sweden could cooperate more so that culture exchange and communication between two countries could get better and better.
