Starch and its further-processed products include starch, modified starches, starch sugar, alditol and fermented products from starch are very important in national economy. This paper discusses the current situation of starch and its further-processing industries at home and abroad, the domestic market requirement, the opportunities as well as some problems in developing the relative industries in China.
