β-catenin在腮腺复发性多形性腺瘤中的表达及意义

Expression and significance of β-catenin in recurrent parotid pleomorphic adenomas

目的探讨腮腺复发性多形性腺瘤(Recurrent Pleomorphic Adenoma,RPA)的临床病理特征,并分析β-catenin在腮腺复发性多形性腺瘤中的表达及意义。方法收集16例腮腺RPA,选取20例腮腺初发性多形性腺瘤(Pleomorphic Adenoma,PA)作为对照组,进行常规镜检、β-catenin免疫组织化学染色,探讨其临床病理特征,并进一步分析β-catenin在腮腺复发性多形性腺瘤中的表达及意义。结果RPA以多中心生长者常见,包膜均不完整,细胞形态与初发性PA无显著差异。16例RPA中13例出现细胞浆及细胞核的异常表达,3例呈细胞膜阳性表达;20例PA中19例呈细胞膜阳性表达,1例出现胞浆异常表达。结论 RPA存在β-catenin的异常表达,提示Wnt/β-catenin信号通路异常激活在多形性腺瘤的复发中发挥作用。

Objective To investigate the clinical and pathological features of recurrent pleomorphic adenoma （ RPA ） , and analyze the expression and significance of β-catenin in recurrent parotid pleomorphic adenomas.Methods Collected 16 cases of parotid RPA patients as the study object, 20 cases of beginning parotid pleomorphic adenoma （ PA） patients as the control group, samples were collected for routine microscopic examination andβ-catenin immunohistochemistry to investigate the clinical and pathological features, and further analysis expression and significance ofβ-catenin in recurrent parotid pleomorphic adenomas.Results RPA was present to be multi-center growth and envelope was not complete, no significant differences were observed in cell morphology and the early onset PA.13 in 16 cases of RPA abnormal expression occurred in the cytoplasm and the nucleus,3 cases positively expressed on cell membrane.Among the 20 cases of PA, we found 19 cases of membrane positive expression, only one case of abnormal cytoplasmic expression.Conclusions The abnormal expression of β-catenin in RPA, suggesting that Wnt/β-catenin signaling pathway plays a role in abnormal activation of pleomorphic adenoma recurrence.
