Traditional manufacture processes and research advances of preparation of potassium methylate was introduced. The newest research advances of two methods of manufacture potassium methylate that was synthesized by reaction of potassium and potassium compound with methanol or potassium compound with organic slat of alcohol was briefly expounded. Application of potassium methylate was also provided.
