Chen Zhong-shi: An Accumulated Literary Greats

陈忠实前期作品一直写当下的生活,善于从道德角度切入,在变态心理和爱情描写上也多有探索,塑造了一系列新的人物形象。经过15年现实主义创作方法的历练,他的创作能力得到提升和锻炼。20纪世80年代中后期,作家经历了伤痕文学、先锋文学、寻根文学等文学思潮,阅读了大量外国传入的文学经典。他反思自己以往的文学创造,实现了自我剥离,他远离了写当下生活的题材,转向历史,转向人物内心,遵循文化心理结构观点,写出了中篇小说《蓝袍先生》,实现了自己写作的转型。他抓住了作品《蓝袍先生》中的语言感觉和创作状态,经过充分的准备,以沉静的状态创作出了长篇小说《白鹿原》,奠定了作家在中国当代文坛的地位。

The early works of Chen Zhong-shi have presented contemporary life., and created a series of new char- acters by not only being good at a moral standpoint, but also the description of abnormal psychology and love. After the experience of 15 years in the creative method of realism, Chen＇s creative ability have been enhanced and exer- cised. In the middle and latter half of the 1980s, he experienced literary trends of Trauma Literature, Pioneering Literature and XunGen Literature （ Root-searching literature）, and read a lot of foreign classics. From then on, Chen reflected on his past works and got away from the subject of contemporary life. Chen started turning to de- scribe the history and the inner worlds of the characters. He achieved the transformation of his writing by his novella Mr. Lanpao. Chen grabbed the feeling and creating state of Mr. Lanpao and cre ~ted the novel Bailuyuan which laid his position in the Chinese contemporary literary scene after adequate preparation.
