摘要 数据压缩是体数据可视化研究中的一个重要问题.随着体数据的维数、分辨率、变量个数不断增加,数据量呈指数增长,体数据的压缩研究显得更为重要.文中从有损压缩和无损压缩2个方面对已有的体数据压缩方法进行了总结,对无损压缩的各类方法的优缺点进行了比较,对有损压缩的一般流程和其中的重要步骤做了详细的介绍,同时着重介绍了时变体数据压缩方法.最后提出了该领域需进一步探索的方向. Data compression has been an important research issue in the area of visualization. With the rapidlyincreasing of dimensions、resolutions and variables, the amount of volume data is growing exponentially,which makes compression become even more significant today. In this paper, We summarize the relatedworks on the volume compression including lossless and lossy ones. Firstly, We compare the advantages anddisadvantages in various lossless algorithms. Then a general flow and several key stages in lossy compressionare presented, followed by a detailed introduction of time-varying data compression . In the end, Wediscuss the future research on this topic.
