The Determining Mechanism and Determinants of Factor Shares:A Literature Review

要素份额决定机制与影响因素是要素分配研究的核心议题。已有文献对要素份额决定机制给出截然不同的理论解释,但对其主要影响因素则有基本共识。要素份额主要受发展阶段、技术因素、市场结构、国际联系、制度因素、外生冲击等制约,但各类因素的影响不在同一层面。今后研究中,应注重构建统一的分析框架,厘清不同层次影响因素的内在联系,以推动要素份额决定机制的理论研究,并恰当选择影响因素及代理指标,有效揭示中国要素份额决定机制。

The determinants and determining mechanism of factor shares is a core issue of the study of factor distributions of income. Although there are quite different theoretical explanations with its determining mechanism, some basic consensus have already achieved the key determinants. Factor shares are mainly determined by development stage, technical factors, market structure, international linkages, institutional factors, exogenous shocks, while which influences are not in the same levels. In future studies, a unified analyrical framework should be made to clarify the inherent link among different determinants and to promote theoretical research on its determining mechanism. The spatial and temporal differences in various economies should be taken full account, so that the appropriate determinants and its proxies can be identified to reveal the determining mechanism of China＇s factor shares.
