By interpreting the latest documents issued by the ministry of education Standard for Professional Abilities of Counselors in Colleges and Universities（ Interim）,this paper studies basic requirement and principle of the counselors work in college and university deeply. Combined with the understanding about the role of counselors at work,it also explores how to exploit huge potentialities of college counselors＇ Professionalism and specialization development through exact role identification.
